Ernie Knoll, the false prophet

The Herald turns to me and says, "It is important that His people understand while it is important that we are to return a tithe to God’s storehouse, it is equally important that they understand what the funds are being used for. If an individual is providing funds and they understand that the funds are not being used according to His will, that person will be held accountable. The Great Creator has said to pay a tribute to those who do His bidding. The Herald explains that many tributes are used toward Lucifer’s work of using spiritualism from within God’s church by those who collect and place the funds in a storehouse. The Herald says, "That is not God’s storehouse. Those that give a tribute will be able to see the blessing they give in faith when it is placed in God’s storehouse." STAND FAST, February 5, 2008.

I believe that Ernie Knoll should be respected for recognizing spiritualism in the Seventh-day Adventist church. How many Seventh-day Adventist educators or administrators in the church hierarchy have the vision to see it and the courage to say it? I believe it's common sense that Seventh-day Adventists shouldn't be supporting spiritualism. The real issue is that Seventh-day Adventist leaders are not more righteous than false prophets, that Ernie Knoll's attending angel has a poor command of the English language and that he sounds exactly like Ernie Knoll.

Good points made in the OP above. As for writing style - have you considered Ellen White's testimony about Fannie Bolton (her lead writer) and how delighted she was to have such a well accomplished true "writer" on her staff?

Fannie then went on to charge that the writing style that everyone is so delighted with - is actually hers. Ellen White never denied the point on "writing style" but she urged that the content of the message was still hers.

In your post above - you reference writing style and language. Which simply reminds me of the historic dispute between Ellen White and Fannie Bolton.

It does not prove that a given person is right or wrong who claims to be a prophet - but it shows how we should seriously carefully study to know if that is the case in a given claim.

I myself find Ernie Knoll's claim to be valid when I compare it to scripture itself and earnestly avoid the tendency of soooo many to simply "make stuff up" when it comes to a test of a prophet.

You listed this one Spirit of prophecy statement among the many others as an argument that we should all be open to new light: "There are some who, like the Jews, are doing their utmost to make the message of God of none effect." This forum was specially created to disseminate messages from God and I certainly don't want to censor anyone that is halfway credible. Please tell me what you believe is the most impressive bit of new information or significant key focus that Ernie Knoll has presented thus far.

Good question Eugene. As with the case of the dream that Steve reported on this board -- I needed to read his statement all the way through to get a good first hand look at what was being proposed as an inspired dream. Several of the quotes in your list demanded that I read the material through carefully before coming to my decision.

I think that is also a great first step with Ernie Knoll as well - because in the end each reader must decide for themsevles.

Having said that - I myself found his focus to be very much centered on repentance, reformation, preparing for the Latter Rain, returning to a serious focus on what is needed to be a sanctified vessel for receiving the latter rain, the nearness to completion of the sealing work, rejection of some very specific aspects of celebration music (repetition in the lyrics for example), the emphasis that Joe Crews placed on diet reform, information about the destruction of dozens/hundreds of cities world wide (via what looks like natural diasters) bringing in the national Sunday laws way before the close of probation, a renewed focus on heaven (in accordance with Peter's statement to fix our hope completely on the grace to be brought to us at the revelation of Jesus Christ), errors in the tithing structure, the introduction of spiritualism into the church ... The fact that Ellen White's "not one in 20" and then "not one in 100" has now gone down to "not one in 1000".

Anyway you get the idea.

Ellen White introduced no new doctrine and neither does Ernie Knoll. That is not the function of an extra-biblical prophet. But they do focus a lot on on-the-ground immediate directives to God's people about upcoming events and details.

Still - the crux of the matter rests in actually reading the material and going through the prayerful spirit-filled exercise you listed in that compilation of quotes from Ellen White.

Greetings to Everyone:
On June 20 I was working in the evening. I was a prostitute. I had been working the streets since I was 16. The reason I started at that age is not as important as where I am now. I was a heavy drug user. Mostly crack. I drank a lot. I still am battling with cigarettes. This is the really hard part that I have shared with many of my friends who are no longer my friends but some have accepted what I have shared with them to be truth. I do not share this for you to look at me but to look at Jesus, as He is the one who forgave me in the life I was walking and now walk in a new way.

I was on my corner when a man in a convertible said he would like to speak with me. I said, “Sure.” I climbed in and we began driving. He looked over at me and called me Candace. I was shocked and thought the worst. He then said, “Do not be afraid.” He began to explain to me that he had been sent to give me a message and that message was from Jesus Christ. He told me that Jesus is coming and that He wants me to get ready to go to heaven. I was very scared and told the man that I did not want to die. The man said, “Do not be afraid because no harm will come to you.”

The man pulled into a shopping center parking lot and stopped. He told me that there is a man that is receiving messages from Jesus and that this very night Jesus would show him the importance of the cross that He died on. This man told me the man’s name is Ernie Knoll, that he has been receiving dreams from Jesus and that the dreams can be read on a web site http://www.4hispeople.com/dreams.html . He told me the web site and I wrote it down. Then the man told me to find a TV show called “It Is Written” with Shawn Boonstra and another TV show called “Amazing Facts” with Doug Batchelor and that these men will teach me what I need to know. I wrote down these TV shows and their names. Then the man said that these three men have been selected by Jesus to do an important work together for Him, that I was to change the way I live and that Jesus is coming to take me to heaven. The man said to keep watching for Jesus, that there is much to learn and this is a good place to start.

The man then got out of the car and walked around to my door and opened it so I could get out. He pointed toward the buildings and said that there was a meeting going on in there and they would help me with my questions. He said he was to leave but for me to walk in the new way in which I was shown. As I looked at the man, he had the way that he looked change right before me and I fell to my knees and began crying. I watched as I saw this man change into a bright being of light. I watched as he had wings that somehow came out from behind him and he flew up and away.

After a few minutes I got up and noticed there was no car there. I started walking to the place in the shopping center where there was a religious meeting going on. I went in, sat down and tried to listen but I was numb and shaking from what had just happened. After the meeting ended I spoke to several of the people there and they made me feel welcome. They gave me a Bible and a book called The Great Controversy. …

The angel stands up and says to hold fast to my courage, as he will now show me things which must happen. He again says he has much to show me. We begin walking through the corridor wall. On the other side I find we are at a very high altitude in the sky, as if we are a bird flying, watching our country. I see destruction unfold on the face of the earth. {3} Great round burning objects hit certain cities which destroy all who live there. These round objects cause the earth to shake. Other cities hundreds and hundreds of miles away from where those cities were destroyed begin to shake and the buildings fall, crashing to the ground. In other areas I see the roads begin to crunch together and the pavement stack up on top of each other, becoming pavement on top of pavement. We turn and I see large airports. The runways disappear into the earth. The airplanes have no place to land. I am now taken to other areas that are not as densely populated, and the people there are unharmed. There are many towns and cities that are not destroyed. I ask the angel if I may tell which cities. He answers, "No, that is not permitted." He explains that each must learn the guidance of the Holy Spirit concerning where God would have them live. He then says, "Come, I have more to show you."

The angel and I return to the corridor and pause for a little while. He explains, "His people are to understand that the next thing I show you must happen. God is in control." We pass through the wall and I am now watching many funerals all at the same time. I know that many elderly people have been laid to rest. I am also shown that many infants and small children are laid to rest. The Herald Angel explains that this is in God’s love, that it should be understood they are laid to rest so they will not have to endure the time that is upon us. {5} I watch as mothers say goodbye to their newborn or young children…

I am a former member of the SDA church, I left because the non-recognition of Ernie Knoll as God's messenger, and the SDA's refusal to let him speak in (at least North America). I believe he is a true prophet or messenger of God, just like Ellen G. White was a true prophet or messenger of God.

Please note that EG White is not alive, and cannot defend her original writings, and I do believe they have been "doctored" by the SDA leadership.

Ernie Knoll is told in his dreams the SDA church will stand the shaking which (in my view already occuring), and will come out the better for it.

I also have no trouble in sending a tithe into Ernie Knoll, I know he is doing God's will. The SDA church hiarchy is msusing the tithe money, as well as other money that is being sent in.

As the old saying goes, "It will come out in the wash", or you could also say the truth will come out no matter what.

Ernie Knoll is not the only one God is working directly through, since the SDA hiarchy is blatently refusing to do God's will.
My prayers are that we all walk with Jesus, as our Lord and Saviour. :)

Please name a Bible prophet that recounts the details of a dream or vision where the attending angel is uncertain about the heavenly revelation and cheapens it by saying, "It might not happen."

Next, try to remove all the maybes that Ernie Knoll has written and also erase all of his rephrasing of Ellen White’s testimonies and then clearly see that Ernie Knoll is indeed the Prophet of Emptiness.

And that reminds me of a very stern judgment: An angel said, "Are all messengers?" Another answered, "No, no; God's messengers have a message." {EW 50.1}
