In the parable of the 10 virgins, all 10 are sleeping. . . If the virgins represent God's people, and the wise virgins are those who give the loud cry who is awake to wake them up. Who is the messenger that says behold the bridegroom cometh? God's people surely need to be awakened.

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. (Mat. 25:1)
The kingdom of Heaven? Why would the kingdom of Heaven be sleeping?
The Kingdom of Heaven which is compared to the ten virgins is symbolic of the Church on earth that holds the True doctrines of the kingdom of Heaven.
"And five of them were wise, and five were foolish." (Mat. 25:2)
Five were pew warmers and indefferent and five studied the Bible (took oil in the lamps) but did not discern the eminent return of Christ (Bridegroom) in their back slidden state. But ALL ten were sleeping. (Mat 25:4,5)
Who, you ask, is the one at midnight that proclaims "Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." (Mat. 25:6)
It is not one of the virgins. It is not one from the Church.
It must fall in the category of those who have not had all the Light God has shown on the Church, or are not directly part of it. For example the once atheist William Miller.
But I believe this prophecy is telescopic. Because the Bridegroom has not yet come. And the virgins are asleep.
Those who have faith but lack light to them will be given light. To those who have no true faith yet great light, even what they seem to have will be taken away. (Mat. 25:29) Faithless Israel and faithless humanity will be cast "....into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Mat. 25:30)
But the people of faith the true followers of God and not just hearers only, The Lord wil declare "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." (Mat. 25:30)
"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." (Mat. 25:13) _________________ "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." Hello Eden Restored,
I understand what the Ten Virgins represent. . .
You stated: "It must fall in the category of those who have not had all the Light God has shown on the Church, or are not directly part of it. For example the once atheist William Miller." This is what I have contemplated for a long time, but when I mention it to an "elder" or a "theologian" they look at me like I'm nuts, or I'm not one of them so how should I know these things. . .
The bridegroom will not come until the call is made to wake up the sleeping virgins so they can go in to meet with Him.
"Those who have faith but lack light to them will be given light. To those who have no true faith yet great light, even what they seem to have will be taken away. (Mat. 25:29) Faithless Israel and faithless humanity will be cast "....into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Mat. 25:30) " I like this, there are many in nominal churches around the world that fit this.
Anyway, I believe the call to wake the sleeping virgins comes from outside the church. . .BUT who will accept a message, what Seventh day Adventist will accept a warning message from someone outside the church? Will this be another test of faith? _________________ God Bless you
