As you know, Seventh-day Adventists have inherited the Protestant view of Christian history and there isn't much that can be done to reconcile our two opposing traditions (Protestant and Catholic). If it will make you feel any better about SDAs, I share many of their beliefs yet I oppose the practice of popery in the Seventh-day Adventist church for the same reason the Reformers opposed it in the Medieval Church.
