Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25-26

O LORD, You know; Remember me and visit me, And take vengeance for me on my persecutors. In Your enduring patience, do not take me away. Know that for Your sake I have suffered rebuke. Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:15-16

Christianity is not a religion but a relationship through the Spirit with God, Himself, who is the strength of the heart and the portion of His trusting ones. It’s a relationship with a God who moves on behalf of those who trust Him and does great things for them. God’s word is unchanging:

Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; As your days, so shall your strength be. "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to help you, And in His excellency on the clouds. The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, 'Destroy!' Then Israel shall dwell in safety, The fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine; His heavens shall also drop dew. Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, The shield of your help And the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, And you shall tread down their high places." Deuteronomy 33:25-29:

Of course demons assail the notion that God is actively involved and helping His trusting ones to defeat and destroy all their enemies whoever or whatever they may be. Demons love and propagate the idea that Christianity is only a religion, one of many religions, and not a ongoing relationship with God Himself who uses His miracle working power on behalf of those who trust and walk with Him. So He assails the fact that God’s little children can be little Jesus walking about with the same anointing that was on Jesus and doing the same thing that Jesus did including casting out demons and laying hands on the sick so that they will recover just like Jesus commanded them to do:

And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. Mark 16:15-20
