WILL I BE SAVED BY MERELY ACCEPTING JESUS?
Merely by accepting the human incarnation (Jesus) as Saviour cannot save you. It is told in the Bible that He came to save His people. Who are His people? They are His beloved devotees. They follow His instructions. Jesus did not give attention even to see His mother, when He was with His disciples. When a woman shouted that the Mother of Jesus was blessed, Jesus did not agree and told that blessed are those who followed His instructions. He says that one should leave parents, wife or husband, children and must be prepared even to carry on his own cross for the sake of Jesus. This means that one should be prepared to sacrifice even his life. Therefore, it is a narrow path with thorns.
Even to hear this statement your mind is turmoiled with chaotic disturbance. That is the reason why He says that He has come to give peace to you and that He is holding the sword of knowledge in His hand. Therefore, you can be saved only when you reach that state. If you say to the Judge that you accept him as your saviour, will he save you and cancel his judgement? If you say to the jailor that you will accept him as your saviour, will he relieve you from the jail? Therefore, He saves only His dearest devotees. He underwent, the suffering of His people only on the Cross. He did not suffer for the sake of all the people and released all the people from their sins. If such thing is done the justice is destroyed. The administration becomes meaningless. When a devotee leaves everybody and everything for the sake of such human incarnation and participates in His service, such people are called as His people. Such devotees will never agree for the crucification of the Lord for their sake. Therefore, real saving is only at that stage.
Whether, it is Christianity or Hinduism the beginner cannot come forward if the final stage is shown. In Hinduism the saints and in Christianity, the Popes, fathers, brother and sisters who are dedicated to the Mission have left everything and everybody for the sake of God. Actually such Holy saints only can be saved since they stand according to His standards prescribed. But if this fact is revealed no common man will come forward. It is the tradition of the divine preacher to show the final result even in the first step. We say to the schoolboy that if he goes to the school regularly and studies sincerely, he will become the professor. It is only encouragement. Does that mean that the boy will be appointed as professor as soon as he finishes the schooling? He gets encouraged and studies well in the school.
Then he will go to college and university and study further, then he will join as a lecturer, become reader and then finally become the professor. Therefore, to attract the beginners such encouraging statements are made, which need not be condemned as lies. When a lie does well, such a lie cannot be the sin. Even if it is truth, if it harms it is a sin. We tell so many lies to our children to encourage them and our aim is only their welfare and not cheating them. Therefore, such statements should be accepted with reference to the level of the devotees.

Accepting in words will not please the Lord Jesus. Anybody can say I have accepted the preachings of Jesus and also as my saviour. How to know whether he told it just like that or really he is believing Jesus & Bible? A real believer who accepted Jesus will follow the words of Jesus. When one comes to practicing the bible, then he definitely requires time. For example see His quotation.
Matthew – 6 : 19 to 22 (Luke - 12 : 33 to 34)
“Do not Lay up for yourselves, treasures on earth. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is there your heart will be also”.
For the propagation of the divine knowledge and devotion money is needed to publish the gospel in the form of books. When you sacrifice your money for the divine work your treasure in the heaven is built up. This means that God will help you after your death and you will enter the kingdom of God.
For this to follow one should come out madness for money. Jesus Himself sacrificed His life for the propagation of divine knowledge. Can anybody implement this just like that? Accepting in words is easy and to follow in practical is very difficult. Slowly we have to start practicing His words and then only Lord Jesus will be pleased.
Holy Jesus says that when you donate the money to God by one hand the other hand should not know about that donation. Since it is stolen money it should be returned secretly. A father purchased some sweets and gave to his child. The father is asking for one sweet from the child just to test the attitude and the love of the child on him. Even if you are not returning back the God’s money to God, you are leaving that money here only and you are quitting this world with vacant hands. That extra money is left in this world only, which is the bank of the God. The devotee who donates the extra money to God for His divine work is also quitting this world alone with vacant hands. The former is going to Hell as a thief but the latter is going to the Kingdom of God because he returned the stolen money of God. When you are returning this extra money, you must be very careful to see that this money reaches God only and not others. God dwells in two places 1) In the body of human incarnation (Son of God) 2) In the heart of a real devotee. When the money is donated to such God man or the real devotee, that money is properly used to uplift the humanity. In such social service the God-man or the real devotee will use lot of discrimination due to their divine knowledge and the money donated by you will be properly spent.
Another example:
Jesus told that unless one leaves his parents, wife, and children And wealth and even one’s own life for His sake, One can not be His dear disciple.
Matthew -7: 21
“Not everyone who say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but He who does the will of My Father in Heaven”.
From this it is very clear that everyone who calls Jesus Lord, Lord.. will not enter Kingdom of Lord, but who follow the will of Lord. The will of Lord was preached by Jesus through His preachings.

WillieH: Hello Dattaswami...
In reading your posts... it seems you have deduced that the saved of Christ shall be those that have become true devotees and followers of his commands... This is in part true... It is good that we follow Him, and we will be due reward for this.. but that reward is NOT SALVATION... that reward is to be given AT SALVATION...
Without going into detail... The work of Salvation is not about what WE DO, but is about what HE DID... It is not of our CHOOSING, but of HIS CHOOSING...
Salvation: Eph 2:8-9
(8) "For by GRACE are ye SAVED through FAITH, and NOT OF YOURSELVES; it is the GIFT of GOD (salvation is a gift and cannot be earned or chosen.. only received)
(9) "NOT of WORKS, lest any man should BOAST." (following after commands is a form of WORKS... and no works are considered as a SAVING ELEMENT)
Choosing and WHO does it: John 15:16 / John 14:6 / John 6:44 /
(John 15:16) "Ye have NOT CHOSEN me, but I've CHOSEN YOU..." (It is Christ that does everything including the CHOOSING -
(John 14:6) "...no man cometh to the FATHER, but by ME"
(John 6:44) / "No man cometh unto me except the Fatherwhich has sent me, DRAW HIM"
(John 12:32) "and I, If I be lifted up from the earth, I will DRAWALLMEN unto Me"
This is the method and equation for Salvation... it is GOD's WORK in its ENTIRETY.. Our part is to RECEIVE... Just as we had nothing to do with coming into THIS LIFE, we have nothing to do with going into the next...
No one CHOSE to come into this life... God chose each of us for life... He does this same choosing for the next life.. It is out of our hands...
Rewards are a different thing... we shall REAP what we SOW.. Obey and do good, the reward is Greater... disobey and follow not, the reward is Lesser.. simplicity is what the Scriptures are all about... men make them difficult... men bring God down to our level... men (as began with the manipulation of Eve) decieve one another...

Please remember that if you say 100 times Jesus as God, I am saying million times that Jesus as God. Therefore I request you to have patience to go through my analysis, which does not deviate, anywhere from the above statement. God or Holy Spirit pervaded all over the body of Jesus like electricity charges all over the wire. All the other human beings are simple wires without electricity. My straight question to you is ‘Do you call the wire as Jesus or do you call electricity as Jesus?’ The human body was born and died. But the God who has no birth and death is eternal. As long as electricity passes through the wire, the wire and electricity are one and the same. Both are inseparable. Therefore Jesus means both. But when the electricity leaves the wire, we recognise that wire and electricity are different. On the cross Jesus cried ‘Oh God! Why did you leave me?’
If you call the human body as Jesus, then Jesus is the son of God. If you call the God as Jesus, then Jesus is the God. Since father and son are inseparable, both can also be indicated by the word Jesus. If you say Jesus exists now, it is only the God. If you say Jesus was killed on the cross, Jesus means the human body. Father and son are separate, but are inseparable as long as Jesus was alive.
Please analyse the following questions.
1. Did Jesus suffer for the sins of all the human beings in the past, present and future? If so, you are born after crucification of Jesus and you did sins after the crucification. How He underwent punishment even before you did the sin? Punishment is given only after doing the sin. Moreover, if all the sins of all the people in all the times are cancelled by the crucification, which is beyond the concept of time, the hell should not have existed sofar, should not exist now and should not exist in the future. In such case there should be no worry for any human being whether he followed Jesus or not?
2. If you say that He suffered for the sins of the people existed till His crucification, did He undergo punishment of the sins of the people existed before His birth also? If you say yes, how Jesus existed before His birth? Do you say that the sins of the people existing before Jesus were kept in pending till Jesus was crucified?
3. If you say that Jesus suffered for the sins of all the people existed in His life time, then people existed before His birth and people existed after His death were not having that golden chance. This makes Jesus partial for one generation only.
Therefore to solve all these questions, the only path left over is to call God as Jesus. God Jesus existed before and after that human body in all the generations. God Jesus is coming in several human incarnations. Every generation is blessed with the human incarnation to avoid the partiality to God.
4. It is highly illogical to say that God Jesus suffered the sins of all the people existed during His lifetime. Even an ordinary human being will never do this. God Jesus discriminates very well. Since in every generation God Jesus is coming in human form, He suffers the sins of His deserving devotees in any generation. This makes God Jesus impartial with high discrimination power. The very first page of Holy Bible (Matthew 1:21) states that ‘He will save His people from their sins’. The word ‘His people’ means, the deserving devotees and not all the people. Human incarnation is called as Immanuel, means ‘God with us’ (Matthew 1:23).
The word Datta also means the human incarnation of God that comes to earth to live with human beings. The human incarnations suffer the sins of deserving devotees and relieve them. God will never abolish the sin of any person. He will not cancel His own judgement. He will pay the fine on behalf of the His devotee. This is the mechanism of excusing the sins. Shirdi Sai Baba, one of the human incarnations of Datta suffered the sins of His devotees by transferring their diseases to His body. This is a common feature of any human incarnation. If you become a deserving devotee, you will be also saved from your sins by the present human incarnation of God Jesus. You must assimilate the knowledge of the Holy spirit. The knowledge is called as fire. Real baptism is not sprinkling water but assimilating the knowledge of the Holy Spirit given by the human incarnation. This is also clearly stated in Bible (Matthew 3:11).
